Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Furstenstum Albert Mann, organic wine, natural wine, rich, round, soft, off dry yet fresh and elegant. The Grand Cru Gewurz from the Albert Mann estate in Alsace weighs in at 13.5% – 14% depending on vintage and around 30 grams residual sugar. They make the Gewurztraminer Grand Cru from vines more than 50 years old. Straw yellow in colour with a tightly bound bouquet of floral and mineral nuance. This is a characteristic of these lighter grand cru soils. Off dry on the palate, this is a taut wine; stylish and elegant, yet with intensity and richness. Very fine texture for Gewurztraminer, with no coarse cloyingness at all, excellent stuff.

|Calcareous soil, Fürstentum is the part of the slope that sticks a little further out into the Rhine River plain. There’s a lot of water-retaining clay in the soil, which is good for grapes that are prone to low acidity like Gewurztraminer.
|Fermentation and maturation take several months, during which time the wine is in contact with its lees.
