Lambrusco di Sorbara Radice Paltrinieri, Natural Wine, frothy pink wine from Emilia, unfiltered, rustic, full of flavour and bristling freshness and bubbles. Radice means roots, the roots of these old Lambrusco di Sorbara vines run deep, along with those of the Paltrinieri family. In fact back to the 20s when Achille started the winery. Sorbara gives rise to a flowering anomaly which the yields very low and the quality high. The grape has quite a pale hue giving rise to pinky wines with fresh rose character! Prosecco is dead, there is a new dawn…..Lambrusco!!! Delicious and interesting wine, impossible not to enjoy, particularly with some antipasti of salami and olives!

Brenddon –
This was a present for my Father’s 80th Birthday. He wanted a Lambrusco to go with his Birthday Lunch. Pierre Marco White recommended this wine a few years ago in the ‘Telegraph’. It did not disappoint. Definitely better served very chilled.
