LBV Port Niepoort, Late Bottled Vintage, Douro Portugal, dark chocolate, fruity, floral, balanced, deep fortified wine. The LBV from Niepoort spends 4-6 years ageing in barrel before bottling, resulting in a rich and complex wine which is ready for drinking now. A deep red with chocolatey, floral aromas and a wonderful core of dark fruits. We love the wines from Niepoort and this is no exception. They always work with respect for nature and are increasingly using organic production.

Adrian –
Old age and a long memory can be an uncomfortable combination.
Things now are not what they were – the wines of the 1950’s seem to have no counterparts in 2020.
The sensorium of the ninety + year old is also not what is was……..what do you expect?
Well “LBV Late Bottled Vintage Port Niepoort 2014/15” proved that age hadn’t withered.
