Le Diplomate d’Empire Cuvee Collection Abbatucci, Vermentino, Brustiano, Bianco Gentile, Genovese, and Rossola Bianca, what blend hey! A lush, round, floral, exotic white wine of immense depth and quality, a glass of pure hedonistic pleasure. A simply gorgeous white wine from esteemed winemaker Jean-Charles Abbatucci, whose Napoleonic ancestors inspire this Cuvee. Made from Vermentino and other rare local varieties, the wine has a full mouthfeel, with exotic fruit and hints of the resinous garrigues which abound on the landscape. Drinking well now but has potential to age for a long, long time. We recommend serving this wine not too cold and after a couple of hours in decanter. It would pair well with everyone’s favourite Tuesday night staple, namely Lobster….or other firm white fish like Turbot or some rich creamy cheeses.
