These wines are brimming with bright fruity flavours, smooth tannins and freshness. Natural wine’s great charm is its purity and freshness, really evident in the reds, a far cry from the big oaky monsters of the 1990s and early 2000s. But light doesn’t mean thin. These bottles from high quality and ripe fruit but the natural vineyard management and perhaps a slightly early harvest captures the freshness and acidity. A light touch in the cellar then makes for lovely soft reds, either chilled or not, supremely easy drinking.
