Macon-Loché Cuvee du Clocher Domaine Tripoz, biodynamic, clean, zesty, bright Chardonnay from this lesser known village of the Maconais. As the name suggests, this wines is as clear as a bell – lovely clean fruit, taught minerality and a splash of cream to round it out. This wine is fermented and matured in tanks so as not to mar the sense of terroir. A really excellent example of one of Burgundy’s sub-regions, and of Chardonnay’s incredible ability to adapt to it’s surroundings. Perfect for shellfish or as an aperitif.
