Marche Bianco Ca’Liptra, Verdicchio, Trebbiano, subtle and expressive, textured and layered, classic Verdicchio bitterness, lovely stuff. A wine which grows on you very quickly. At first tasting, the wine can seem a little quiet, innocuous, but closer attention reveals an expressive and very tasty white wine with an layer of depth which comes from the 2 weeks skin maceration that half of the grapes undergo. The Verdicchio is nicely bitter on the finish, subtle notes of toasted almond, citrus fruits, herbs come through on nose and palate and the texture is just lovely and crying out for something, Italian, rustic and a big bowl of it.
