Monte Bianco Sciacarello Abbatucci, biodynamic wine, pale in colour but incredibly rich in flavour and complexity, a rare grape which gives a unique personality. It is tricky to describe Sciacarello, it genuinely has a personality of its own and surprises you when you first taste it. The pale colour confuses your perception of the wine as the palate has a deep viscosity to it. On a recent tasting a customer said it reminded him of Nebbiolo but Jean Charles Abbatucci scoffed at the comparison. Monte Bianco is just Monte Bianco he said, its own unique flavour. Whatever it is, it tastes delicious and would go with most red wine foods, but probably something expensive like game, or truffles would be best.
