Morgon Ducroux Magnum 2020, Natural Wine, MAGNUM (organic conversion) 100% Gamay, natural ferment, carbonic maceration, 8 months maturation in old 225 litre foudre. Morgon is probably the most illustrious of the Beaujo villages, with its mythical Cote de Py and reputation for fuller, more serious wines. From 50 year old vines, the Morgon from Ducroux, although still young, has plenty of the depth you would expect and layer of darker fruits and spice. The tannins in the Morgon Ducroux Magnum are fine and the wine has beautiful balance and structure. A great example of the noble appellation, and in the Magnum it will age very well, probably up to 7 or 8 years.
