Morgon Thibault Ducroux 2020, Natural Wine, (organic conversion) 100% Gamay, natural ferment, carbonic maceration, 8 months maturation in old 225 litre foudre. Morgon is probably the most illustrious of the Beaujo villages, with its mythical Cote de Py and reputation for fuller, more serious wines. From 50 year old vines, the Morgon from Ducroux, although still young, has plenty of the depth you would expect and layer of darker fruits and spice. The tannins are fine and the wine is beautiful baance and structure. A great example of the noble appellation, it will age well for 5 years.
