Pinot Gris ‘V’ Pur Vin Pierre Frick 2018, biodynamic wine, 7 day skin contact, no added sulphites, quite full, round, intense fruits and note of tannin. A new Cuvee from this fantastic biodynamic domain in Alsace. Pinot Gris (also known as Grigio of course , although you wouldn’t find this one in a cheap Trattoria for £4 a glass) lends itself very well to skin contact as it has dark skin with lots of pigments and polyphenols which give plenty of flavour, texture and complexity to the final wine. Shorter maceration as in this case means a fresher style with primary fruits such as red cherry, raspberry and red current alongside almonds and a dry slightly tannic savoury character. A fantastic wine and welcome addition to our growing Orange Wine range.
