Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg, Albert Mann, aromatic, complex, serious Riesling. This Grand Cru Riesling from the Organic Albert Mann estate in Alsace has a gloriously refreshing, mouthwatering palate with inviting aromas of fennel, grapefruit, honeydew melon and an underlying sea breeze minerality. It has a great aromatic complexity, dominance of fruits, with length and freshness. This is serious Riesling and for those hooked on petroleum, it will age very well indeed.
|Dry White Wine
|In 1975, Schlossberg was the first Alsace vineyard to be declared a Grand Cru. The granite hill faces directly south, and nightly breezes cool the vineyard as air is funneled up and down the narrow valley. The stony soils also make for good drainage.
|Fermentation and maturation take several months, during which time the wine is in contact with its lees.
|10-15 years comfortably
