Rosso Piceno Di Gino Fattoria San Lorenzo. This little natural red displays how well the Marche can do every day easy red wine with body and juiciness. A blend of Sangiovese and Montepulciano, bursting with red fruits and notes of spice and leather. It is a wine for ‘un’amatriciana’ or a selection of Pecorino cheeses with Charcuterie. Considering the concentration, authenticity and production method of this wine, it is also awesome value for money.

Grower Information

Fattoria San Lorenzo is a third generation family winery, run by Natalino and his family in Montecaretto, that is completely organic and biodynamic and also include an organic olive grove.

The farm is rich in biodiversity, with dozens of farm animals, (some of which lend their names to his wines, such as the Goose). He believes manual farming is the best way to maintain the health of the vines, and his skill as a winemaker is testified by the fact that his wines are so ageworthy - his top Verdicchios age like a bold Chablis.
