SUMMER CASE – 6 BOTTLES – All natural wines, super cool, super drinkable wines which lack nothing in terms of genuine quality, commitment from the wine maker and high quality production methods.
There is a delicious skin contact white, the Messana white from Montesecondo being one of the best Trebbiano on skins we have tasted, certainly at this price. The salty, sappy sunshine Palomino Bianco is a dry white from the sherry grape, (becoming ever more popular) which behaves something like a cross between a light fruity Pinot Grigio and a salty, mineral Jura wine. Get some good anchovies and eat with this wine ice cold.
The reds are lighter in style, the Palmento being almost Rose, with a bit more weight in the Apache and El Rall, both of which are sooo drinkable and work well chilled, (lets hope for some more warm weather)!
Finally ‘Le Pan’ from the guys at Vin des Potes is a Rose of outstanding quality, complexity and style. It is basically Rose de Provence, made from fruit at Chateau de Revelette in Provence, but a very, very good one, loads of texture and a long finish.
