Featuring two bright refreshing whites; an interesting South African blend of full-bodied Semillon and aromatic Moscatel that combine to create this gorgeous, pithy-but-juicy wine. Plus, a textured southern Italian white, from Puglia, that hints at tropical notes while remaining perfectly crisp.
These are both perfect for afternoons in the garden, or add a touch of elegance to barbecued seafood and vegetables. Additionally, included is a lovely Italian orange wine from Molise; not too heavy on the maceration, and with notes of candied fruit and spice- perfect for lighter meat dishes.
In reds, find three that are equally delicious, but very varied in their personalities. At the lovely, light end of the spectrum find a juicy Languedoc Grenache and Carignan blend, perfect for serving lightly chilled. From Le Marche in central Italy, find a supple Sangiovese/ Montepulciano featuring notes of bright strawberry, rich Morello cherry and a hint of liquorice and spice. Finally, find a smooth, dark-fruited, full-bodied, Cotes du Rhone, that really shines in its quality and despite its softness can really handle more robust barbecued flavours.
