Terras Gauda O ROSAL Rias Baixas, zesty, minerally and aromatic Spanish white. The O Rosal, is a selective blend of the best Albariño grapes in the O Rosal subzone of Galicia, which is then mixed with the indigenous grapes Loureira and Caiño Blanco.. A greenish-yellow in color, this wine has a generous nose of ripe peach, aromatic herbs such as hints of bay leaf and mint, orange blossom, mandarin and orange peel. On the palate, it is round with hints of mineral and earthy memories. It finishes with crispness and minerality, revealing its stunning structure, density and balanced acidity. Edged with superb acidity and a bristling minerality this reminds one of a really good Riesling. These are wines of outstanding freshness and life.

Learnt to drink this wine in a marvellous fish restaurant in Barcelona. It’s perfect with shell-fish. But it’s lovely straw colour and summery nose makes it a perfect aperitif wine which likes the company of olives and air-dried meats. It keeps well and, because I rather like lighter wines, it packs a lot of flavour at 12%. I think that it’s worth its price.
