Torabhaig Whisky Cnoc Na Moine.  The third chapter in the Torabhaig Legacy Series, showcases the signature heavily peated single malt, matured in a combination of Bourbon American Oak, Oloroso, and Pedro Ximenez casks. This expression balances robust peatiness with rich sherry notes, reflecting the dramatic and untamed beauty of the Isle of Skye. The result is a complex and richly layered whisky with a deeper, more profound hue.

The whisky dispalys aromas of citrus zest, vibrant fruits, and a faint echo of smoldering ashes. There’s a layer of vanilla sweetness, enriched by nuances of freshly cut oak.  On the palate, the smokiness evolves with a hint of grilled barbecue, paired with spicy black pepper, a subtle balsamic zest, added sweetness, and a whisper of spice. Hints of cedar and leather emerge, deepened by the sherry cask’s contribution.

Torabhaig Distillery is an innovative whisky producer nestled on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. Founded by Mossburn Distillers in 2017, it boasts the honour of being the second legal distillery on the Isle of Skye, with Talisker being the first.

Housed within a 19th-century farmstead, Torabhaig seamlessly blends traditional and contemporary distillation techniques to create their signature style of Scotch with 'well-tempered peat'. This approach aims to strike a harmonious balance between the peaty smokiness and the flavourful depth of their surroundings. Essentially, peat and smoke forms part of the flavour profile, but never dominate it.
