VDF Carmenet Domaine Cosse Maisonneuve, biodynamic, 100% Cabernet Franc, full bodied, smokey, hints of leather and earthy undertones. He uses very varied terroir and saw the opportunity to plant different grapes unfamiliar to his region on the terroir that best suits them. He planted Cabernet Franc and also Gamay on Calcareous Gravels. The resulting wine is absolutely delicious. Low yields, natural ferments in concrete and ageing in barrels help to contribute a smooth texture and minerality to the wine.
