Vernaccia di San Gimignano Montenidoli Fiore, organic wine, 100% Vernaccia, Tuscany’s signature white grape, nutty full and creamy white great for fish dishes like Baccala. Fiore is made with the free run juice, displaying all the finesse and elegance of which Vernaccia can be capable. It is fermented in steel, and ages on the lees to gain roundness and persistence. Displaying considerable depth,it is full, with rich white berry fruit supported by greenish accents and spice. Fiore also ages very well and drinks beautifully with 5-8 years in the bottle. A glass of Fiore 2003 at Verona’s mythical ‘Antica Bottega del Vino’ was a memorable experience.
