Vino di Anna Palment0 Rosso, Mount Etna, natural red wine, juicy, fresh and vibrant. Anna Martens and Eric Narioo have a small domain on the North face of Mount Etna, an incredible yet challenging place for making wine. Palmento refers to a 250 year old traditional Etnean building, and the wine is made from a blend of Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio and Alicante (Grenache), as well as some white varieties. The grapes had a four day foot maceration before being foot trodden and matured in stainless steel, old oak casks and Georgian Amphorae. The wine is bottled without any filtration or fining, and virtually no sulphur. The wine is a pale red colour, almost more a dark rosé, cloudy and has vibrant, floral aromas. It has hints of cherry and wild strawberry and is deliciously juicy with soft tannins. A fantastic summer red, and great for those lighter meat dishes, like duck, or meaty fish.

Anna Martens and Eric Narioo started making wine together on Mount Etna in 2008.

In 2010 they purchased their first vineyard of old vine Nerello Mascelese (ranging between 60 and 100 years) and a 250 yr old palmento and wine building which they restored and “Vino di Anna” was created. Today they own 6 hectares of land which they farm organically and they tend to and harvest by hand. They have extended the winery and buried 9 Georgian qvevri for vinification and maturation and now make a range of natural wines. Nerello Mascalese is the principal red grape. The wines are made with minimal intervention, natural yeasts, no additives, no fining or filtering. Little or no SO2 is used.

Being a person whom loves Pizza. A person whom researched Neapolitan style pizza from Italy seeing all good Pizza yolos ways of making Pizza. I spotted in one film a certain wine will go splendidly with good pizza It was Vino Di Anna Rosso. A cloudy delicious wine that I particularly enjoyed so much along with good fresh pizza. I love this wine so much I researched old film footage of how wine was made in the olden days where wines are made naturally. I saw an old film where they trod the grapes in big wooden areas where the grapes juices would trickle through into big vases to be taken away for the processes. Silver would pass hands. When the wine was ready they would get together playing instrument drinking lots of wine, its a way of life. There are more places from the old days if a person cares to see where the wines are made in sheds on lushous hills in the countryside. The grapes are trodden upon. Near camp fires outside. Its been a while since I watched the films you can find on Youtube. Vino Di Anna Rosso fits right into this category for me I can taste its authenticity. Bloody lovely Wine. I can highly recomend it. I have only one day ago gifted one bottle to the Church lady who runs the local food bank for her hard work helping the needy. Im in the mind to gift my local Doctors something good for Xmas. Any ideas? Im greatful. I appreciate Bueno Vino forever for stocking the most delicious wine I love with all of my being. Good effort. From Craig Lee White… Ps Im in for the competition for the prize you had mentioned in your invite email to my good self. Please can I win. Yes. Thank you. Good bye from Craig Lee White. the most perfect light fruity red.
light in weight, light in colour and light in alcohol
So easy to drink a lot of this.
    One bottle is not enough.
I am going to try bathing in it.

I went to this one as i was advised by the Buon Vino team it similar to the Hurluberlu Saint-Nicholas de Bourgeuil Sebastien David 2019 which i loved.

Correct, slightly lighter, but just as fruity and crunchy, this was a realy delicious and tasty red wine that was light and easy to drink. Almost too easy. You could drink this alone or with most types of food and certainly including cheese boards.

I’ve added this to my shopping cart on my next order, I highly recommend !
