Volubilia Gris La Zouina, fresh, delicate, rosé pink wine of Morocco. The Volubilia Gris has the translucent delicacy of a Provençale rosé. It is made from local varieties Marselan and Caladoc. The wine is elegant yet textured with soft red and stone fruits on the palate. Lovely summer drinking.

Grower Information

In 2001 Gérard Gribelin and Philippe Gervoson fell in love with Domaine de la Zouina.

Struck by the richness of the terroir, the particularity of the soil and the climate, they were certain that they could produce unique results and so they decided to translate their passion and wine-making savoir-faire from Pessac-Leognan to Morocco. Gribelin has now been making wine in Morocco for over thirty years. His son Christophe now runs Zouina. To maximise the efficiency of the vines the work in the vineyard is meticulous, though not necessarily natural.

Having lived in Morocco for 2 years, I already know just how good Moroccan wine is…and how hard it is to come by outside the country itself. Most of the wine never leaves its shores, so that tells you something in itself, A Gris is like a dry, sharper Rose and perfect for lovers of Rose and Dry Whites alike. I miss Gris very much and was thrilled to find it on the Buno Vino website. Don’t delay try it today, you will be hooked.

I had lots of this rose whilst in Morocco and it is my absolute favourite , it’s very dry and crisp and absolute bliss chilled on a sunny day … or any day in my case. Really pleased that buonvino stock it 🙂

So glad to finally find a UK supplier of this beautiful vin gris. It brings back many happy memories of dinners al fresco in the Western Kingdom. Great for those who love the flavour of a rosé, but want something a little sharper.
