In 2001 Gérard Gribelin and Philippe Gervoson fell in love with Domaine de la Zouina.

Struck by the richness of the terroir, the particularity of the soil and the climate, they were certain that they could produce unique results and so they decided to translate their passion and wine-making savoir-faire from Pessac-Leognan to Morocco. Gribelin has now been making wine in Morocco for over thirty years. His son Christophe now runs Zouina. To maximise the efficiency of the vines the work in the vineyard is meticulous, though not necessarily natural.

Ordered as part of a meal to celebrate our son’s return from a year working out of Marrakech. Moroccan wines generally get very mixed and, in my view, unfair reviews, especially when it comes to reds. This wine is a delight and I would certainly order again. Medium bodied, soft, and with none of the rough edges that can be found in so many reds today. Great value wine and delivered on time. Thanks Buon Vino.
