Walgate Wines Chardonnay, natural wine from the Uk with a hint of the Burgundy about it. This is delicious Chardonnay from UK vines. The grapes were hand harvested and whole bunch pressed beofre natural ferment in wood and fiber glass tanks. There was no filtration and very little sulphur added. The wine naturally went through malolactice which you feel instantly on nose and palate. Slightly nutty, medium intensity nose with subtle cream over white peach and apple. The palate is delightfully fresh, elegant with enough body to match the UK acidity. A delicious glass of Chardonnay and a great alternative to a decent quality Burgundy.
