Stocco Refosco Rosso, lovely, soft, full bodied yet fresh Italian red. Often an overly sharp and rustic variety, stocco produce wine with excellent balance and lovely fruit concentration. Violet red in colour, with a nose of wild blackberry and woodland foliage. Dry, smooth and full-bodied in taste, with a hint of trademark Italian bitterness. Serve at room temperature as an ideal accompaniment to roasts and red meat.

The name “Stocco” derives from the ancient Italian word for “sword”. The old family crest has long been a symbol of the identity and values of the estate: strength, firmness and respect for the land. Viticulture in Bicinicco, in the Friuli Grave wine producing zone is characterised by its unique gravel and red soil, which together with the respectful and tenacious work of this particular winemaker, produces high quality wines which are representative of this unique area. As well as international varieties, they also use local varieties such as Ribolla Gialla and Refosco. They work with a lutte raisonnée approach, with manual harvest.
