Details

The ultimate in luxury drinking, these wines are some of our top wines for savouring and enjoying with a good meal and good company. An ideal gift for someone who has it all, or for yourself. Aurea Pittacum - Aurea means Gold, and this is the jewel in the crown of Pittacum's range. Made from Mencia in Spain's Bierzo region, this is a Rioja lover's dream - rich and toasty from 14 months ageing in new oak, with notes of fig, black cherry, coffee, as well as sweet spice, rosemary and toast. It wipes the floor with some of the best Rioja Reservas available. Mas de Daumas Gassac has a reputation for being the Grand Cru of the Languedoc. Exceptional terroir, combined with their unique ecosystem produces wines made mostly with Cabernet Sauvignon that are complex, silky and ripe for long ageing. Nero Ne Taurasi from Cancelliere is structured, heady, leathery and intense. Often referred to as the Barolo of the south, Taurasi is a complex wine for serious lovers of Italian wine. Adam's Rib is a unique expression of Nebbiolo blended with a touch of Shiraz, and combines the very best of the Old and New Worlds. Subtle and elegant, with bright fruits and silky tannins. Clos Henri's Flagship Pinot Noir is textbook New Zealand Pinot - smokey, smooth, mocha and berry flavours. Superb. Finally, Chateau Le Puy is a stunningly elegant expression of Bordeaux - mainly Merlot, but untouched by modern techniques and trends. Soft, juicy but with undertones of bell pepper, pencil shavings and delicate tannins.
