Details

Briseide Uva Rara DOC Paride Chiovini, autoctonous grape, characterful and elegant wine that is great for food, with notes of forest fruits and spice with a pleasantly acidic-saltiness to balance its rich core. Made from 100% Uva Rara, otherwise known as Bonarda, a rare Italian grape. The grapes are hand-harvested and the wine is matured in stainless steel for 4 months before bottling. One of those lesser known Italian grapes which makes classic Italian dishes come to life.

Production was started when Giuseppe Garibaldi took over his grandfather's vineyard as a hobby, gradually expanding to a full time venture, where he now holds 3 hectares of land. Many of his wines are named after Greek gods and heroes of Ancient Greece to reflect their unmistakable personalities which all stem from a common root. Today the vineyard is maintained with respect for the land and all the operations on the vines are performed by hand. The vineyards are in Ghemme, one of the few regions of the World outside of the Langhe in which Nebbiolo can truly thrive and produce classy wines.
