Details

Vigna Paradiso Lacrima di Morro d'Alba San Lorenzo, biodynamic, unique, full bodied, intense red wine. The Vigna Paradiso is an exotic wine, very aromatic, floral, cherries in liqueur, licorice and leather - note typical of Lacrima - are among the aromas and flavors that are found in this profound drop of rare red wine. The 'Lacrima' as legend has it got the name from the unusual tear dropped shape of the berries. It is grown exclusively in the Province of Ancona and generally is dilute, semi-sweet and left to the tourists on the coast who are not too bothered what they drink. At San Lorenzo, they have taken this poorly treated berry and given it five star treatment. The starting point is biodynamics of course, along with super low yields of one bunch per vine, and semi-refermentation using the addition of some 'appassimento' treated must. The result is a block buster of a wine with unique style, intensity but great freshness. Quintessentially Italian and utterly delicious.

Fattoria San Lorenzo is a long established family estate, based near Ancona, of around 35 hectares, which is farmed biodynamically.
