Willunga 100 Grenache has powerful aromatics of cherry, spice, dark plum and strawberry. The Grenache for this wine comes from a variety of sub-regions of McClaren Vale, but mostly from bush vines of over 50 years old. On the palate the wine is medium-full bodied with alluring spiciness, hints of raspberry and lovely sandy tannins that make this wine so food friendly. A great wine for the money - it's lovely to see Grenache from this region allowed to shine alone.

Taking their name from the historic administrative region of Willunga (Hundred referring to the number of square miles), they specialise in top quality McClaren Vale Grenache, a grape often used for blends. The soils in McLaren Vale are among the oldest in the world, estimated at over 500 million years. The resulting low vigour and old vines combine to produce low yields in the vineyard and stunning, concentrated fruit. Led by winemaker Mike Farmilo who has over 40 years experience of working in the area, their small team produces a range of exceptional value and quality wines.
